1. What types of renovation projects do you undertake?
We specialise in new and resale HDB flats and condominiums. We also undertake selected landed residential and commercial renovation projects.
2. How do I get started with Attic Studio Interiors?
Once you send us an initial enquiry, our team will contact you to arrange a consultation. During the consultation, we’ll learn more about your lifestyle, design preferences, functional requirements and renovation budget.
From there, we’ll develop a concept proposal and detailed quotation for discussion. If necessary, we’ll refine the design, scope of works and quotation based on your feedback, with no obligation to proceed.
Once you’re comfortable with the proposal, we’ll proceed with confirmation and agreement before moving into the detailed design and renovation planning stage.
3. Is the initial consultation free?
Yes. There is no consultation fee prior to the acceptance of our renovation proposal.
4. How early should I contact an interior designer about my renovation?
You may start speaking with us as early as one year before your expected key collection. However, we recommend allowing at least 3 months for design and planning before key collection.
Starting early gives sufficient time to discuss your requirements, develop the design, refine the quotation, select materials and prepare the necessary details before renovation begins.
5. Can I walk in to your showroom without an appointment?
Our showroom visits are by appointment. As we are a close-knit team and our designers are frequently attending site meetings and ongoing projects, a designer may not always be available at the showroom.
We recommend contacting us in advance to arrange an appointment so that we can allocate sufficient time for your consultation.
6. Can we meet somewhere other than your showroom?
This may be possible depending on our designer’s schedule and existing project commitments. However, we generally recommend meeting at our showroom as it provides a more conducive environment for discussion and allows us to show you material samples, carpentry details and design options during the consultation.
7. How long does a typical renovation take?
A full renovation involving hacking, tiling and other major works typically takes around 8–10 weeks, depending on the scope and complexity of the project.
New BTO flats and condominiums requiring mainly carpentry and fitting-out works may have a shorter renovation period of approximately 6–8 weeks.
These are general estimates, and a more accurate project timeline will be provided after we understand the actual scope of works.
8. I don't need a full renovation or interior design service. Can you help with just hacking and retiling my bathroom or kitchen?
Yes. We also provide direct renovation and upgrading services for homeowners who do not require a full interior design or renovation package. This can include hacking and retiling works for bathrooms, kitchens and other selected areas.
9. I only need a new kitchen cabinet. Can you do that?
Yes. We undertake selected carpentry works such as new kitchen cabinetry even if you do not require a full-home renovation, subject to the project scope and site requirements.
10. My existing wardrobe door or cabinet is damaged. Do you provide repair services?
No. We generally do not undertake minor repair, handyman or maintenance works for existing carpentry. Our carpentry services are intended for new installations and renovation works.
